Upon arrival at Leh Airport, located at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters (11,500 ft), you will be warmly received by our representative, who will assist you with a smooth transfer to your hotel. Due to Leh’s high altitude, proper acclimatization is essential, and therefore the first day is kept completely for rest and adjustment. After completing the hotel check-in formalities, guests will be welcomed in a traditional manner with tea or a welcome drink. The morning and afternoon are reserved entirely for relaxation and acclimatization.
Guests are strongly advised to avoid any physical exertion on this day so that the body can gradually adapt to the thin mountain air. Drinking plenty of water and having light meals is recommended for better adjustment. In the evening, guests may spend time at leisure. You can either relax at the hotel or step out for a gentle walk around the nearby market area. Explore local handicraft shops or sit at a café to enjoy authentic Ladakhi butter tea while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Later in the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
